Rehabilitation
Responding to times of crisis and adversity, rehabilitation programs provide immediate and sustained support for communities. Efforts are dedicated to aiding recovery, rebuilding, and strengthening resilience in affected populations.
Flood Relief 2022:
To support flood-affected communities, a dedicated fund was launched and broad relief efforts were initiated. The Interloop Flood Relief Fund raised over PKR 190 million with contributions from founders, philanthropists, employees, and corporate sponsors. Relief efforts included:
- Family support
- Meal distribution
- Clean water
- Shelter
- Mobile health clinics for those affected
- Fodder for livestock
Floods 2010 & 2014:
In the aftermath of severe flooding, significant relief operations were undertaken:
- 140 houses were constructed for displaced families in Muzaffargarh, Thatta, and surrounding areas.
- 3,500 flood-affected families in Punjab were supported with essential dry food supplies in 2014.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan, a socially responsible role was maintained over four months of high pandemic and lockdown situations. Support encompassed critical activities such as:
- Ration Distribution: Essential food supplies and beverages were distributed to deserving and affected communities.
- Medical Supplies: Essential medical equipment, including PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment) and masks, was provided to various hospitals and the National Disaster Management Authority (Government of Pakistan).
- Community Support: General support for community well-being and healthy activities was extended as needed, wherever required.
Earthquake 2005:
In response to the devastating 2005 earthquake, comprehensive relief activities were initiated:
- A Tent Village was established in Muzaffarabad, providing shelter for 1,500 people.
- Dry food was distributed to internally displaced persons (IDPs).
- An advanced water supply system was installed, in partnership with Caritas.
Vital assistance for IDPs was a key focus during the time of crisis:
- Food assistance was provided to over 3 million internally displaced persons.
- Large-scale ration distribution was conducted in Nowshera and Gojra, in collaboration with local government authorities.
